Touch of Love

Have I ever told you that since I was about 5 years old, my favorite color was RED! I just love it. As a matter of fact, my first “big-girl” bedroom set was red and white. I owned that bedroom set until I was in my late 20’s. LOL. I love red fabrics, red rooms, red during Christmas, and especially because red always reminds me of love and compassion. What is there not to like.

As a matter of fact, I have a really hard time when skimming through fabric books, and samples not to choose the color red. It just has this hypnotizing spell on me. So needless to say, whenever we were about to enter the month of February, I always had a long list of dresses and leggings for my daughter to wear. I remember taking her shopping and getting stopped in various stores and being asked where I bought her outfit. So flattering. As soon as my daughter could speak, she was always willing to share who made her dress. Now you know why Valentines Day has such a special place in my heart.

So here are my favorite red – Valentines Day Dresses. Please don’t think these can only be worn during the holidays…….Nope. These dresses can be worn all year long.

One of our “Bestsellers” – our Red Gingham Dress – is available for Valentines Day. We have sold this dress for more than five years. This will be the first year that we will be unable to re-order this gorgeous warm red fabric. My advice would be to buy it before it is gone, we only have a 7-8 yards left on the bolt.

A very similar dress is our Red Floral Red Gingham Dress. The red in this fabric is not quite as orange and warm – more pinkish, but the floral arrangements are gorgeous. So very Lecien (a beautiful Japanese fabric company). I am sad to say that this company has pulled out of the US all together, so we cannot reorder this fabric either.

Our last Red dress that I just love ……..love…….love is our Scarlet Dress. This is another Lecien fabric, and it is so soft and lightweight. I just love the colors of this dress. Personally, I also like the fact that you can wear it with a t-shirt on a cooler day or sleeveless in the summer. We have also added sleeves to this dress upon request.

Valentines Day is a day you share love between you and everyone who has a special place in your heart. Don’t hesitate to give your child a special dress for this day. She will always remember that memory.
